Following on from the initial launch of an online service aimed at helping pastmen build mental resilience in collaboration with Spectrum Life, the Union is pleased to announce the details of an event which will be hosted at the College on Thursday, 9th May at 6:45 pm in the Concert Hall.

Former Ireland international and Munster legend, Alan Quinlan, will deliver an address on the evening explaining the importance of availing of appropriate supports when one encounters challenges to mental health. Alan has played a key role in raising awareness of mental health issues and breaking down barriers in this aspect of life. We are delighted that he will join us on the evening.

The Union strongly encourages pastmen to join us on the evening for the launch of this initiative. The evening is intended to be relaxed in nature; with casual food and refreshments included.

Practically all of us are aware, either directly or indirectly, through personal experience or the shared experience of another, of the impact of challenges to mental wellbeing. This event aims to encourage pastmen to take those steps to seek assistance if needed and to assure them that the Union will assist them in providing a confidential and non-judgemental pathway.

The evening is free to attend, courtesy of the Union, but a ticket is required. We are limited in capacity, so early online booking is advised
