Class '70 head to the Bush Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon for the weekend 24 - 25th September 2010 to celebrate their 40th Reunion. Your organising Committee is made up of: David Brennan, Declan Burke, Paddy Dore, David Lyons, and Michael McDermott
ITINERARY
Friday
Afternoon - Golf Outing, 1:00pm- Meet at Carrick-on-Shannon GC for lunch and 2:30pm group tee-time
Evening - After check-in at Bush Hotel, meet in the Oarsman Bar (Bridge Street) for food, drink and some trad craic
Saturday Afternoon - High Noon - Meet up in hotel lobby for one of:
Recommended visit to Arigna Mining Experience
Visit to Strokestown House and Famine Museum
Cruise on the River Shannon (expensive!!)
or God forbid yet another round of golf!!
Saturday Evening
7:30pm - Pre-dinner drinks in the reserved (private) bar in Bush Hotel
8:00pm - Dinner in the reserved (private) restaurant in Bush Hotel
Carrick-on-Shannon (Cora Droma Ruisc - the weir of the marshy ridge) is situated on the River Shannon less than two hours from Dublin on the N4. Carrick-on-Shannon boasts fantastic golf and fishing opportunities with no fewer than 41 lakes within a 10km radius. Pleasure cruisers are available for day trips. The Bush Hotel is located on Main Street.
