Bill O'Neill, class '80
1980 SCT, Bill O'Neill
We were shocked to learn of the tragic death in an accident of Bill O'Neill. Bill was the eldest son of Mary and the late William “Boldie". He had just finished his course in Agricultural Science in U.C.D. and had taken up a position in London. At school Bill was a very popular figure in the house. His studies caused him no great trouble. In his final year he was happy to have gained his place on the Senior Cup Team.
On leaving school Bill became a loyal pastman and remained a close and sincere friend to the members of his own year. He was a frequent visitor to the college. At the sesquintcentenary Celebrations, his father having died it was Bill who with his Mum represented the O'Neills. To his Mum and his brothers and sisters we offer our most sincere sympathy.
Requiescat in Pace.
